Where Fiction and Entertainment Thrive
Rai wrapped up an outstanding autumn season, achieving a 30.4% audience share during the prime-time slot (9:00-11:00 PM). This result matches 2023’s performance and maintains a clear lead over competitors. Beyond an extensive lineup of fiction securing prime time leadership, Rai 1 also featured entertainment formats that delivered high audience numbers and broad reach.
Among the standout programs was Ballando con le stelle, which averaged 3.5 million viewers with a total audience of 25.8 million unique contacts. Friday nights also saw Rai 1 dominate, first with Tale e quale show and later with The Voice Kids, consistently outperforming Canale 5 by an average of 10 share points among consumer targets.
Following Italy’s iconic song festival, the Sanremo Music Festival, the winter schedule leaves no room for competitors.
For fans of police procedurals, February marks the return of the fourth season of Imma Tataranni – Sostituto Procuratore, a gripping crime drama starring Vanessa Scalera, Massimiliano Gallo, and Barbara Ronchi—a show that has won a loyal and growing audience over the years. Additional highlights include new seasons of Che Dio ci aiuti, Lux Vide’s longest-running comedy with Francesca Chillemi and Giovanni Scifoni, and Rocco Schiavone, with its highly anticipated sixth chapter featuring Italy’s favourite deputy commissioner. The lineup is rounded out by two new productions: Belcanto, a Rai and Lucky Red series starring Vittoria Puccini, and Miss Fallaci, a biopic on the celebrated writer played by Miriam Leone. This winter also sees the return of the record-breaking series Mare Fuori, with the first six episodes of season five available on RaiPlay from early March and on Rai 2 from 19th March, the same day the remaining episodes drop on the platform.
For entertainment, the schedule features three beloved programs and a fresh offering. Stasera tutto è possibile, hosted by Stefano De Martino, remains a prime access favorite. Returning hits include The Voice Senior, celebrating the finest voices over 60, and Stasera c’è Cattelan su Rai 2, a light-hearted, pop-culture-driven show, with an ironical verve to it. Alessia Marcuzzi makes her prime time return with Surprise Surprise, a people-centred show inspired by the iconic Carràmba! Che sorpresa.
